About
Comprehensive design with consulting for private and public projects
I am Anna-Leena Kilpeläinen, a Finnish architect and designer based in Oslo, Norway. I offer architectural, interior, furniture, and textile design services, as well as consulting for companies and private clients.
I have extensive experience across all phases of public building design, from concept design to building permits, tender documents, and construction stages. I specialize particularly in learning environments, office spaces, as well as restaurant and hotel interior and furniture design.
I am especially interested in the development of learning environments, sustainable construction, and industrial timber construction. My design work is guided by user-centered thinking and close collaboration with clients, with the aim of creating functional, sustainable, and meaningful spaces together with clients.
In addition, I am pursuing doctoral studies at the University of Oulu. My research focuses on prefabricated timber school buildings in a Nordic context, as well as user experiences and the impact of industrial production on architectural design.
I work flexibly and internationally, both on-site and remotely. Feel free to get in touch, and let’s create inspiring spaces together.
